It has been found to work for pre-teen girls who are tending to pack on the pounds, especially if they have a fondness for junk food, this way of eating adopts sensible eating practices, such as consuming whole-grains, fruits vegetables, no dairy or low fat cheese skim milk, lean meat, fish, nuts and the less sugar and salt the better, also very little in the way of carbohydrates.

There was a 10 year study of over 2000 girls ages 9 and 10, (long time to be on a diet eh!)these girls where from every background in the USA, turns out the girls where not that great at following the diet, (well it was for 10 years, imagine)any how a lot of them ate more sugar than was recommended and slipped up now and then on some of requirements, but over all the weight gain was controlled, this is now a recognized way of controlling weight gain.
