They have arrived in Ottawa, William and Kate walked to cheering crowds, after they had visited the tomb of the unknown soldier, the excitement was tangible onlookers where crying out "we love you Kate" An estimated 6000 people where there to greet them. As Kate was happy to shake hands and say hello to the people lining each side of the red carpet.
Here is what some of the royal watchers had to say as reported by CBC news,
"I can't believe that happened!" said Alexandra Anghel, 18. "It was so much fun."
"This will never be erased from my memory," said Alice Hamid, 14, breathless from the excitement.
"I told him he was gorgeous and he blushed a little," Cecile Dumont said. "For me this is a dream come true. I've loved William since he left St. Mary's hospital in 1982.
The royal couple have a couple of hrs to rest, before attending a youth barbecue with 120 young guests at 6pm. Then an hour and a half later they will be able to retire for the night, before official plans begin for Canada day.
